Follow the Mighty Murrumbidgee River while you explore the Murrumbidgee Trails region. The Murrumbidgee River runs through Darlington Point, Leeton and Narrandera. The River is home to endangered species of fish including Murray Cray, Trout Cod and Murray Cod. A great attraction in Narrandera is the Narrandera Fisheries Centre. At the centre, you can even meet 'Agro' a huge Murray Cod and you can learn about our unique native freshwater fishes!
The Murrumbidgee River, with its corridor of river red gums and beautiful sandy beaches is a sight to see. There are many easy access points; via Murrumbidgee Valley Regional Park, Gogeldrie Weir, Brewery Flat and Bunyip Hole!
If you want to take on some water sports including water skiing, kayaking, and fishing here is the place to do it. From the fast-flowing river to the slower man-made lake and estuaries we have it all! Popular locations include Rocky Water Hole, Lake Jerilderie, Billabong Creek, Lake Talbot!
Time to dive in and cool off, as the days get hotter add one of these swimming locations to your trip! Make a splash in one of the many swimming pools along Murrumbidgee Trails. Swimming pools in Jerilderie, Coleambally and Darlington Point are free access this summer. Lake Talbot Water Park offers three slides. Including an adrenaline-racing, enclosed, high-speed dual racer slide and water playground! Most of the locations have terraced lawns and shady trees, and BBQs areas.
